Ashly Dilbeck is an Appalachian inspired-songwriter originally from Decatur, Tennessee, but now resides in Chattanooga. Her music is heavily influenced by the bluegrass and old-time music tradition, similar to musicians like Nora Brown, Joan Shelley, Bella White, Talise and many others. Ashly’s music is authentic, telling stories about her life and her experiences.
In 2025, Ashly spent her time traveling and playing music through the northern U.S, including New York City, at the famous Carnegie Hall, and Knoxville’s blue plate special.
Ashly has a background in music education, with an Associates of Fine Arts in Music from Chattanooga State Community College, and a Bachelor of Vocal Music Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Ashly discovered old-time music when she was 19, and although hadn't grown up with it, she immediately knew that it was a part of her. She didn’t start writing music seriously until the beginning of 2025, but since then, has placed in the finals of the eddies attic songwriters competition three times.
